Russia: 5 breaches of cessation of hostilities agreement during past 24 hours

Moscow, SANA – The Russian Coordination Center in Hmeimim said on Sunday that terrorist organizations breached the cessation of hostilities agreement five times in the past 24 hours, raising the total number of breaches to 377 since the agreement came into effect on February 27th.

In a statement, the Center noted that the five breaches were observed in the countryside of Lattakia and Hama provinces, explaining that terrorists affiliated to “Ahrar al-Sham” terrorist group continued to target the Syrian Arab Army’s positions in Sendran, al-Karmel and Ain al-Qantara in Lattakia countryside with mortar shells and machinegun fire, injuring two civilians in the process.

The Center went on to report that a man was killed and a woman was severely injured as terrorists from the so-called “free army” launched an attack on Kherbet al-Arous village in the countryside of Hama province.

The statement stressed that the Russian Aerospace Forces have not targeted positions of armed groups that had announced joining the cessation of hostilities agreement.

The Center went on to reveal that more than 350 terrorists from Jabhat al-Nusra have arrived to Handarat Camp and al-Lairamoun northwest of Aleppo within the past 24 hours, adding that the terrorist organization continues to mobilize their forces in the region and they have two BMP vehicles and 13 SUVs equipped with heavy machineguns.

On another note, the statement stated that four tons of humanitarian aid were delivered to al-Naseriyeh town in Damascus Countryside while 2.5 tons of food were distributed to residents of Treidem and Rayyan towns in the countryside of Aleppo province.
