Syria, Pakistan discuss cooperation in higher education and scientific research

Damascus, SANA- Higher Education Minister Mohammad Amer al-Mardini discussed on Monday with Pakistani Ambassador in Damascus Syed Athar Hussain Bukhari bilateral relations in higher education and scientific research sectors and means to develop them.

Al-Mardini pointed out to the cultural and scientific relations between Syria and Pakistan which reflect the depth of the friendship between the peoples of the two countries throughout history, calling for enhancing cooperation in all sectors, mainly increasing scholarships and developing scientific and cultural cooperation programs.

In turn, Bukhari reviewed the state of the educational sector in Pakistani universities and the available disciplines, expressing his country’s readiness to support and develop cultural and scientific cooperation.High Education Minister - Pakistani Ambassador 1

The two sides also discussed mechanisms to facilitate procedures for applying for scholarships in Pakistan.
