Geneva, SANA- Health Minister Dr. Musab al-Ali discussed Wednesday with Hanan Balkhy, World Health Organization (WHO) Regional Director for the Eastern Mediterranean, strengthening mutual cooperation.
The meeting held on the sidelines of the 78th World Health Assembly at the UN Headquarters, Geneva, focused on technical support to improving the quality of health services and ensuring their sustainability.
Both sides emphasized the importance of continuing joint coordination and cooperation to enhance the Syrian health system’s ability to respond to current and future health needs.
The Minister stressed that the organization’s efforts focus on supporting capabilities of Syrian health sector to face current challenges.
