Armenia provides aid to Syria worth $126,000

Yerevan, SANA-Armenian newspaper “Arevelk” revealed that Armenia will provide more than 49 million Armenian drams, equivalent to approximately $126,000, in humanitarian aid to the Syrian people, according to a decision taken by the Armenian government during its regular session today, based on a proposal submitted by the Ministry of Interior.

The newspaper indicated that 25 million drams will be allocated for healthcare and pharmacy supplies, and 23 million drams for the purchase of household and general food supplies.

It said that the humanitarian aid will be distributed to people affected by the situation in Syria, taking into account their basic daily needs.
