Peskov: Russia is ready to assist Syria to face the effects of the earthquake at the highest level

Moscow, SANA- Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov announced that Russia has expressed its willingness to help Syria in facing the effects of the devastating earthquake that hit the country on Monday, and it is awaiting any Syrian request in this regard.

Russian equipment and techniques to determine the viability of buildings after earthquakes and other assistance after the natural disaster that claimed the lives of many victims can be provided to Syria if Damascus requests that, Peskov said in a press statement on Monday.

Russian President Vladimir Putin offered his condolences to President Bashar al-Assad for the victims of the earthquake that hit Syria on Monday morning, expressing his readiness to help in facing the repercussions of the disaster.
