Arab Peace Group renews its call to lift the siege on Syria

Beirut, SANA- The Arab Peace Group has renewed the call for an end to the unjust Western siege imposed on the Syrian people for years.

The Group’s remarks came in a statement signed by former Yemeni President Ali Nasser Mohammad, head of the group, and former Jordanian Minister Samir Habashneh, Secretary General of the group in the context of the Arab and international popular campaign to lift the siege on Syria.

“We support all the official and popular forces demanding an end to the unjust siege imposed on the Syrian people, which is causing great suffering to them,” the statement read.

The statement stressed the need for Arab communication with Syria on the basis of restoring its Arab role and helping it to rebuild what has been destroyed by the terrorist war that was waged against it.
