Malaysian tourist group visits Bosra in Daraa countryside

Daraa, SANA- A Malaysian tourist group visited the city of Bosra Monday to enjoy the charm of its archaeological sites and to learn about its ancient history.

“The directorate is working to encourage local and foreign tourism, and in the first half of this year it received 22 tourist groups comprising about 145 tourists, most of them are of European nationalities who visited the historical city”, Daraa Tourism Director, Yasser al-Sa’adi, told SANA reporter.

He added that the Directorate, in cooperation with the Bosra Council and the Department of Antiquities, provide visitors with all facilities and information about the city and its ancient history.

Al-Sa’adi said that the successive visits of tourist groups are a good indicator to the recovery of the tourism sector, and it is consistent with the aspirations of the Ministry.

Bosra contains 45 archaeological sites inside and outside the old city.
