Syrian boxer Ghossoun wins first gold medal at Mediterranean Games, Algeria

Algiers, SANA- Syrian national boxing team player, Ahmed Ghossoun, won over his Serbian rival, 2-1, in the 75 weight competitions at the Mediterranean Games currently being held in Oran, Algeria.

Ghossoun’s wining was decisive and worthy in front of his opponent, as he won the first and second rounds, while the third went to the benefit of his opponent to qualify for the semi-finals where he will face French boxer Fendro.

With this winning, Ghossoun gained the first medal for Syria in this round, bearing in mind that Ghossoun won the gold medal of his weight competitions in the previous edition of the Mediterranean Games in Spain.
