1,300 people evacuated from Popasnaya, Luhansk Republic announces

Luhansk, SANA- Head of Popasnaya city administration in the Luhansk Republic, Sergey Kolyagin, has announced that the National Police and Russian forces had evacuated 1,300 people from Popasnaya town, which had been liberated from Kyiv forces, to neighboring Pervomaiskoe.

“Pervomaiskoe continues to receive the displaced from Popasnaya town, where about 1,300 people have arrived, and about 500 people are still in temporary housing shelters in the Pervomaiskoe city,” RT website quoted Kolyagin as saying in a statement.

Luhansk authorities have allocated food aid to the refugees, and also Russia provides humanitarian aid, Kolyagin stressed.

President of Chechen Republic, Ramzan Kadyrov, had announced earlier that the Chechen special forces had taken control of Popasnaya city and had eliminated remnants of the Nazi Kyiv forces.
