Official and popular figures visit martyrs’ cemeteries in a number of provinces

Provinces, SANA-On the occasion of Martyrs’ Day, official and popular figures visited on Friday a number of martyrs’ cemeteries in different provinces.

During a visit to al-Dahdah cemetery in Damascus, Governor of Damascus, Engineer Adel al-Olabi, said that Martyrs’ Day is the holiest occasion to commemorate those who gave their most precious possessions for the sake of the country.

In the cemetery of the martyrs at Najha in Damascus countryside, the governor, Moataz Abu al-Nasr Jamran, affirmed that the Syrian people will follow the path of the martyrs who are the torches that lit the paths of the homeland.

For his part, the governor of Hama, Muhammad Tariq Krishati, pointed out before Tomb of Unknown Soldier in the city that “The martyrs are the role model, and thanks to their blood, Syria has defeated terrorism.”

Likewise, in Tartous, a memorial dedicated to the martyrs was inaugurated in the city of Sheikh Badr, with the participation of civil, official and religious figures.

The participants in the event stressed that the heroism and sacrifices of the martyrs will always be remembered and appreciated.

They saluted the heroism and sacrifices of the Syrian Arab Army and the armed forces , noting that the Syrian people who continue the path of resistance, struggle and steadfastness under the leadership of President Bashar al-Assad.
