Serbian Ambassador expresses desire to upgrade relations with Syria

Damascus, SANA- Means to strengthen bilateral relations in the economic, investment, cultural and scientific domains, and to increase scholarships provided by Serbian Universities were on the table during a meeting between Prime Minister Eng. Hussein Arnous and Radovan Stojanovic, Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to Syria.

Arnous expressed Syria’s desire to enhance and further develop cooperation between the two countries, calling for forming a joint governmental committee that would follow up the process of uplifting bilateral relations in different domains.

He underlined the necessity to encourage the economic activities in the public and private sectors in the two countries to cooperate and hold joint projects.

Arnous also called for opening the way for trade exchange to secure the two countries’ markets needs of various commodities and materials in a way that serves the common interest of the two friendly countries and peoples, in addition to exchanging experiences in the field of improving the reality of the war-wounded in the two countries.

The Serbian Ambassador, for his part, expressed his country’s desire to upgrade relations with Syria in various domains, and its readiness to contribute to the reconstruction as Serbia is one of the countries which has an experience in this domain.

He also underlined the importance of the bilateral cooperation in the domains of IT and the development of specialist cadres and the exchange of expertise between the two countries in this domain.
