Reception on 59th anniversary of Sudan national day

Damascus, SANA-Sudanese Embassy in Damascus held on Thursday a reception on the 59^th anniversary of Sudan National Day at Four Seasons Hotel in Damascus.

Assistant Foreign and Expatriates Minister Hamed Hassan said in a statement to SANA that the Syrian people’s participation in the national day of Sudan is an assertion on the historic role of Syria in boosting cooperation and friendship with brotherly Sudan.

He added that Syria, while confronts takfiri terrorism which poses a threat to its security and the whole region, is committed to its pioneering role on the Arab level.

For his part, acting Charge d’affaires of Sudan Embassy in Damascus Abdul-Rahman Khalil Afandi hoped the Syrian people would enjoy progress and peace would prevail in Syria.

A number of Syrian ministers and officials attend the reception.
