Syrian-Russian talks in the field of communications, information technology and security

Damascus, SANA- A meeting which was held on Tuesday at the Communications and Postal Regulatory Authority in Damascus and included a number of Syrian and Russian figures in the field of communications, discussed ways of joint coordination and cooperation in the development of communications services, technology and information security.

The meeting was held on the sidelines of the Syrian-Russian joint meeting to follow up on the work of the international conference on the return of Syrian Refugees.

From the Russian side, the meeting included a number of experts and figures concerned from the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation, while representatives from the Ministry of Communications, the Communications and Post Regulatory Authority, and the National Authority for Network Services participated in the meeting from the Syrian side.

Director of the Communications and Postal Regulatory Authority, Eng. Manhal Junaidi, underlined the importance of cooperation with Russia in the field of communications and information security systems, and the development of services with modern technologies that are easy to deal with electronically, in addition to services related to learning, electronic content, and mechanisms of cooperation in the field of postal services, in addition to improving and providing new internet services.
