Hasaka, SANA-  Head of Hasaka Antiquities Department Khaled Ahmo said that an armed group carries out illegitimate excavations in archaeological sites of Tal Abu Bakr and Rajman in areas controlled by QSD militia in the vicinity of Hasaka city.

In a statement to SANA reporter, Ahmo indicated that an armed group has been carrying out excavations for two days at the archaeological sites of Tal Abu Bakr and Rajman in the vicinity of Hasaka city, which were previously exposed to excavations and theft.

Ahmo warned of dangers of QSD militia and other armed groups continuous acts of excavations searching for antiquities to be smuggled outside the Syrian territory via border crossings controlled by the US and Turkish occupation forces and their mercenaries.

He also voiced concern over the archeological sites in  the occupied city of Ras al-Ayn by Turkish occupation and its mercenaries of terrorists, with information confirms excavations and theft of the archaeological hills in the area, especially that Ras al-Ayn area contains nearly 80 archaeological hills and sites.

In the context, local sources in al-Falah village near the two archeological sites, said that the armed group carries out excavations without anyone being able to approach the site, particularly since the area is completely controlled by QSD militia.

The citizens pointed out that the excavation work is taking place in conjunction with the US occupation helicopters overflights in the airspace of the area.
