Showers expected, polar low air pressure prevails

Damascus, SANA- Temperatures will remain from 2 to 4 degrees above average as the country is affected by a polar low air pressure accompanied by a cold and wet air mass.

Meteorology Department expected in its Tuesday bulletin that the skies will be clear to partly cloudy in general, turning into cloudy in the afternoon over the coastal and northwestern regions.

Showers, accompanied by thunder are expected at night, and they will be heavy while snow will fall over areas with an altitude of more than 1500 meters.

The wind will be southeasterly, turning into southwesterly at night with strong gusts exceeding 70 km/ h, while the sea waves will be high in amplitude.

The expected temperatures in some major Syria cities will be as follows: Damascus 16/3, Daraa 18/3, Homs 17/4, Tartous 18/7, Aleppo 16/2, Deir Ezzor 19/6.
