Syrian- Indian relations… A friendship enhanced by stances against terrorism

Damascus, SANA- India celebrates on January 26th the 72nd anniversary of its declaration a republic at a time when it fulfils important achievements in development and economic construction through which it seeks to enhance its international position.

The Syrian-Indian relations are getting stronger at all political, economic and cultural fields, reinforced by India’s stance in support of Syria during the crisis against terrorism, as well as its principled stance in respecting Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

India has always been commitment to finding a political solution to the crisis and rejecting foreign interference in the domestic affairs of countries.

India has repeatedly affirmed its desire to enhance cooperation with Syria, particularly in the reconstruction process.

It has sent humanitarian aids, especially in the health sector, the last of which installing artificial limbs for more than 500 war-wounded, in addition to providing medical aid to counter the threat of the Corona pandemic.

The friendly country didn’t stop the training scholarship and courses to Syrian employees of various specializations, as the number of beneficiaries ranged from 70 to 100 trainees during the last years, in addition to the scholarships provided since 2018 to more than a thousand Syrian student in various fields.
