Social Affairs Minister inspects temporary housing center in Homs

Homs, SANA – Social Affairs Minister Kinda al-Shammat said that the Ministry is working on a plan to provide social care for displaced families, with emphasis on caring for people with special needs and children who were affected by the repercussions of the crisis in Syria.

Inspecting a temporary housing center at Abdelmuhaimen Abbas School in al-Insha’at neighborhood in Homs city on Friday, al-Shammat said that the Ministry is giving special attention to the social phenomena which have resulted from the crisis, saying that the project for reunions and family tracking is the first project to address such phenomena in the province.

The families staying in the center informed al-Shammat about their living conditions, the difficulties they face, and their suggestions for overcoming them and alleviating their suffering.
