Minister Azzam offers condolences to Iraq over martyrdom of Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis

Damascus, SANA – Delegated by President Bashar al-Assad, Presidential Affairs Minister Mansour Azzam offered condolences at the Iraqi Embassy in Damascus over the martyrdom of deputy chairman of the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces Commission Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis and a number of his colleagues.

Minister Azzam wrote an entry in the record of condolences, in which he relayed the condolences of President al-Assad to the Iraqi leadership and people and to the families of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives in defense of Iraq’s sovereignty and independence.

Azzam affirmed that the assassination of Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis is a violation of international law, the UN Charter, and a blatant transgression against Iraq.
