Nasrallah: Syria’s steadfastness has been basic factor in its victory against terrorism

Beirut, SANA- Hezbollah Secretary General, Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah, stressed that steadfastness of the Syrian people, army and leadership has been the main factor in achieving victory against terrorism and that Syria’s allies have played an assistant role in that victory.

In an interview with al-Mayadeen TV on Wednesday night, Nasrallah said “We are witnessing a great victory in Syria, but it has not been final yet,” adding, “the war on Syria is in its final stages as Daesh (ISIS) terrorist organization has been eliminated, but Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist organization still exists.”

“ Those who can defeat Daesh in Syria are able to easily defeat the Israeli occupation army, and they can defeat Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists in a less time, if the US stops to support them,” according to Nasrallah.

Regarding the initiatives of the political solution in Syria, Nasrallah said: “ Dialogue should be without preconditions, because putting preconditions usually hinders the dialogue, particularly by the “Riyadh opposition” as they are separated from reality and they don’t know what is taking place on the ground,”

In another context, Nasrallah affirmed that US President Donald Trump’s decision on the occupied al-Quds (Jerusalem) means the end of Israel.

He emphasized that the Palestinian people will not surrender and they are adhered to al-Quds as the eternal capital of their state, and that it is a duty to permanently  support the resistance in Palestine with weapons instead of just responding to Trump’s decision.

Commenting on the recent riots in Iran, Nasrallah said that what took place has been contained in good way and that largest grassroots in Iran are supporting the foreign policies adopted by the Iranian leadership which has dealt with the issue calmly, yet the foreign interference had exaggerated the issues.
