Kuala Lumpur, SANA-Syria’s national football team beat Uzbekistan counterpart 1-0 in the opening match of the second leg of the world cup qualification for Russia 2018.

Omar al-Khribin scored for Syria at the 90th minute of the match via penalty kick.

With this win, the Syrian team raised its points to 8 in the fourth place, while the Iranian team tops the first group with 11 points, South Korea comes second with 10 points, Uzbekistan is in third place with 9 points, China in the fifth place with 5 points and Qatar comes in the bottom of the group with 4 points.
