Syria, Jordan to Standardize Health Legislations and Regulations

Damascus, (SANA) – The Syrian and Jordanian Ministries of Health agreed to standardize legislations and regulations related to health affairs, contagious diseases procedures, pharmaceuticals and drug registration.

Following talks between Syrian Minister of Health Rida Said and Jordanian counterpart Nayef al-Fayez in Amman, Jordan, the two sides agreed on the basis for implementing the Joint Health Agreement according to set timetables and goals.

In a statement to SANA, Minister Said pointed out that his visit to Jordan was an opportunity to learn about the Jordanian experience in the health sector.

He said that the Health Agreement between the two countries focuses on expanding cooperation and exchanging expertise in health administration, nursing, cardiology, cardiac surgery, medical equipment, healthcare, immunization programs, family health, reproductive health, epidemics, and health laws and legislations.
