Syrian-Turkish workshop on Plastic Surgery

Damascus, (SANA)- Activities of the Syrian-Turkish medical workshop on plastic surgery started on Monday at Damascus Hospital.

13 Turkish doctors from Medicine around the World Organization and Plastic Surgery Society in addition to Syrian doctors participate in the 4-day workshop held by Health Ministry in cooperation with the Turkish International Cooperation and Development Agency (TIKA).

Director of the International Relations at the Health Ministry Dr. Hassan Haj Hussein said the workshop comes within the framework of activating the 8 agreements signed by the High Level Syrian-Turkish Council in the health field and exchanging views on the executive programs of these agreements.

Haj Hussein said the ministry is ready to enhance cooperation with the Turkish side to exchange medical expertise and experiences on various specializations and holding medical activities in Syrian hospitals and medical centers.

The Turkish Coordinator of TIKA pointed out that the agency is keen on activating cooperation with the Syrian side in a way that matches the agreements signed between the two countries.

TIKA's Coordinator said that the Turkish participation focuses on exchanging expertise and experiences between the Syrian doctors and their Turkish counterparts, adding that a program to receive Syrian doctors from all specializations in Turkey is being prepared to get the Syrian Doctors acquainted with the Turkish medical expertise.

TIKA is a Turkish Government's Development Cooperation Agency. It has coordination offices in 20 countries and operates in many countries across Africa, Asia and Europe, delivering development assistance to partner countries through its projects and activities.
