Syria Participates in the 1st Vaccination Week in the Eastern Mediterranean

Damascus, (SANA)-Syrian Ministry of Health on Sunday participates in 1st Vaccination Week in the Eastern Mediterranean which lasts to April 29th.

On this occasion, Minister of Health Rida Said said that all health centers and mobile vaccination teams have completed preparations to vaccinate children who are under the age of 5.

Minister Said added that the Ministry will provide vaccinations against dangerous childhood diseases free of charge.

He pointed out that the campaign will also provide Tetanus vaccines to women aged between 15 to 45 years old free of charge according to the schedule of the National Vaccination Program.

The campaign coincides with similar endeavors established in two other World Health Organization (WHO) regions –Vaccination Week in the Americas and Europen Immunization Week.
