DAMASCUS, (SANA) _ Syria's Minister of Health Dr. Rida Said underlined the importance of training and rehabilitations programs as to improve nursery sector in Syria.

Distributing graduation certificates to students participating in the preparation course for the Bridging Program between the Ministry of Heath and the Aga Khan University (AKU) in Karachi, Pakistan, Minister Said asserted the necessity for focusing on Syria's Nursery sector upgrade, and highlighted the role played by the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) in supporting health services circumstances.

For his part, Mohamed Sefo, resident representative of AKDN in Syria, cited the importance of the signed memo between the ministry of health and AKDN as to improve the English language skills of the nurses nominated by the ministry to join the program and to continue their study at the School of Nursing (AKU)

Further, Healthcare teaching in English Expert, Yasimin Walji, pointed out that the concluded course included continuous learning courses such as clinical experience, leadership development and English Language improvement, in addition to providing support to a number of students to continue their education and obtain a Bachelor or Master degrees in nursing.

Abir Abou Saab, a graduate from the program, described the course as ' important' enabling participants to ' gain experience and knowledge'.
