Doha, (SANA)- Syrian-Qatari Medical Meeting will start a charity program to conduct surgical operations for deaf children, said Head of the Syrian Community in Doha Mohammad Nasr al-Zeer.

At the third session of the Meeting held at the Friends of Environment Center in Doha, al-Zeer said the Community's council has been planning a professional meeting aiming to provide medical knowledge and raise health awareness among the 35 thousand Syrians living in Doha.

Lectures delivered at the Meeting touched upon issues related to early detection of colorectal cancer, first aid, dealing with medical emergencies and employment and health.

Activities also included conducting free medical examinations and consultations. Health manuals and guides to medical awareness were distributed.
