Aleppo, Northern Syria (SANA)-Aleppo's Department of Antiquities discovered an archeological tomb dating back to the third millennium B.C. in the small village of Orm during the construction of a mosque.

The tomb has the shape of a square well and includes six potteries, said Director of Archeological Excavations Department Yusuf Kanjo.

This is the first time the department discovers ruins dating back to the 3rd millennium after discovering another archeological cemetery in the industrial city to the north of Aleppo dating back to the same age which reflected the development and cultural prosperity of the region at that time, he added.

On the other hand, Syrian-French Archeological Expedition ended excavations for the current season in al-Ais village in Qansarin city where it conducted a complete topographic and archeological survey for the village and the surrounding regions.
