DARAA, (SANA) – The visiting Egyptian delegation, including 11 journalist and writers, stressed their visit aims at inspecting the reality of events taking place in Syria on ground.
During a visit to Daraa city on Wednesday, the delegation toured places sabotaged and burnt by the armed terrorist groups, including the Justice Palace, the radio and television broadcasting center and al-Omari Mosque in Daraa al-Balad, and met Governor of Daraa Mohammad Khaled al-Hannous.
The delegation members called for not depending on one non-objective media source for collecting information.

Chief Editor of the Egyptian newspaper al-Anbaa Abdu Maghrabi , expressed surprise at the news broadcast by al-Arabiya TV on the violent acts and killing in Daraa, saying "I expected the Syrian government will cancel our visit to the city because of what I heard. However, what happened is that we went to Daraa and found nothing of what has been reported by al-Arabiya, which indicates the huge misleading media campaign on Syria."

Maghrabi added that life is almost normal in the city with some fear in the atmosphere, stressing that what is being promoted by satellite channels is false, which was proven by what we saw firsthand today.

He said that the presence of law-enforcement forces in the city is within the limits, adding that the visit changed the stances and information he has got earlier basing on other media.
Mohamed El-Sayed, Assistant Editor in Chief of Al-Ahram Newspaper, said we thought that there will be killed and injured people in the streets and that there will be terrorists chasing us, but we saw nothing of that, hoping that Syria will come out of the crisis.
