Damascus, (SANA) – Syria National Handball Team defeated its Chinese counterpart 28-21 on Sunday during the 14th Asian Men's Handball Championship being held in Lebanon.

Syria finished first half of the game leading 14-9, and maintained the lead in the second half. This victory places Syria in second place in its group behind the Saudi team, which won its match against Syria last Saturday 23-22.

The top three teams in this championship will qualify for the world cup finals.
