Syria National Football Team Defeats Vietnamese Team in 2011 AFC Qualifiers

Damascus, (SANA) – The Syria National Football Team defeated the Vietnam National Football Team 1-0 in the qualifiers for the 2011 AFC Asia Football Championship.

This win bolsters the lead of the Syrian team in Group D with 9 points from three victories.

The winning goal was scored from a cross by Firas al-Khatib followed through with a header by Raja al-Rafe during the last minute of stoppage time.
