Shaaban: Mrs. al-Assad Plays Pivotal Role in Increasing Awareness of Disabled

Sep 07, 2010

Damascus, (SANA) – Presidential Political and Media Advisor Bouthaina Shaaban said that Mrs. Asma al-Assad plays an important role in increasing awareness of the disabled, who are part of the society with potentials that could be effective if treated properly.

In an interview with the Syrian TV. Satellite Channel on Monday, Shaaban said the preparatory training camp for the Special Olympics has been working for a few months now.

"At the beginning there were camps in the governorates, then they were moved to Damascus. These camps didn't only show the potentials of the disabled but also showed the power and potentials of the society to support this sector of the society," Shaaban added.
