Palmyra, northeast, SANA_ A Syrian aging woman Fahima Omar al-Jarallah, died Tuesday at the age of 107, leaving about 400 grandsons. Fahima is from Palmyra, 315 km northeast of Damascus.

" My mother enjoyed a strong memory and a good health until her death," Abdel-Ghaffar Khalil al-Khatib, Fahima's third son, 70, said.

He added that she did not suffer any chronic diseases as she was fond of travel and fun all the way long.

He said that dairy products, local butter, oven bread, meat and dates were the basic food for her, indicating that she was self-reliant in securing her needs as buying things and food, washing clothes and taking the stairs up to her home at the third floor.
