Quneitra, southern Syria (SANA)- The Syrian southern city of Quneitra organized the first collective wedding for 100 couples at the Sport Hall in Khan Arnaba on Tuesday.

During the wedding, electrical appliances and furniture were offered as gift to the couples, in addition to a miscellaneous arts program with the participation of the folk arts troubadours in Quneitra.

The ceremony is a social initiative to meet the needs of young people who couldn't bear the costs of marriage.

Preparations are underway for organizing another collective wedding in the province next year, and another for people with special needs in the province.
