Damascus, (SANA) – The Ministry of Culture received on Monday a gift from the Chinese people consisting of traditional Chinese musical instruments and computers for the Ministry's music institutes.

On this occasion, Minister of Culture Riadh Naasan Agha said that the gift is a beautiful expression of the depth of Chinese-Arab relations in general and Chinese-Syrian relations in particular, which have reached the highest levels in all fields.

"We have a deep-rooted friendship with the Chinese people and the Chinese government," the Minister affirmed, expressing hope for this friendship to keep developing and growing. He thanked China for this gift that expresses amity towards the Syrian people.

The gift was presented by China's Ambassador to Syria Li Huaxin who stressed his country's appreciation to Syria, saying that this gift expresses the friendship between the two peoples.

The Ambassador also noted that Chinese-Arab cultural exchange is further bolstered through the Arab Culture Festival which is held in China on annual basis.
