DAMASCUS, (SANA) _ A 3-year executive program agreement for cultural cooperation between Syria and Russia was signed here Sunday.
The agreement, signed by Syria's Minister of Culture Dr. Riyadh Naassan Agha, and his Russian counterpart, Aleksandr Alekseyevich Avdeyev, stipulates the organization of cultural weeks, rotating archeological exhibitions, festivals, and exchange of academic expertise in fields of theater, ballet, cinema, etc.
The Syrian Minister of Culture highlighted the importance of cultural cooperation reactivation between Syria and Russia.
The Russian Minister said: "Syria is the example for tolerance in the world; and the Russian People feel every amity and friendship for Syria,'' pointing out that Russia can hold many cultural activities in Syria.
