Damascus, (SANA)- The Russian Beblus Constalting Publishing House announced that it signed a contract with the Arab Writers Union to translate hundreds of modern Arabic novels into the Russian language, Tishreen newspaper reported Wednesday.
In a statement to Russian Novosti News Agency, Owner and Director of the Beblus Constalting House Saleem Ali said that the duration of the contract is seven years.
He added that we plan to issue these novels by the end of this year, pointing out that the publishing house has translated so far 20 novels by Syrian, Egyptian, Moroccan and Saudi novelists into Russian. The contract was signed in the framework of Cairo 42nd International Book Fair.
