TEHRAN, (SANA)- An economic exhibition displaying Syrian products is to be held in Tehran next Friday by the Syrian-Iranian SurIran company.
Director of Omran Company Samir Omran, supervising the exhibition, said in a statement that the exhibition aims to introduce the Iranian businessmen and people to the Syrian exports and products to open the Iranian markets before them.
He pointed out that the private sector is participating in the 4-days exhibition with 29 companies, while the public sector is participating with two companies.
Omran said SurIran company, which is in the process of incorporation, decided to hold the exhibition to display the agricultural, food and industrial products of Syria after having studied the Iranian markets and their needs of the Syrian goods.
He noted that invitations to attend the opening ceremony of the exhibition were addressed to senior Iranian officials and some Arab ambassadors.
On December 13, 2011, the Iranian Shura Council ratified the free trade agreement between Syria and Iran that allows the exchange of goods and services between the governments or inside the countries without government restrictions.
