Dardari and Mehrabian Stress the Importance of Mutual Cooperation

Tehran,(SANA)- Deputy Premier for Economic Affairs, Abdullah Daradari, has stressed that Syria's independent economic policies has kept her unaffected by the world economic crisis. Dardar pointed out during his meeting today with Iranian Minister of Industry , Ali Akbar Mehrabian ,to the necessity for joint action and cooperation in the long term strategic frame between Syrian and Iran in various domains through utilization of the various skills ,catering the common interests of the two countries. He drew attention to the stability of the banking system in Syria and the availability of monetary fluidity which helps ensuring the capital for launching joint projects , pointing out to the agreement of the Syrian government on the establishment of a Syrian –Iranian bank to boost and develop bilateral economic and trade cooperation through offering facilities in sphere of various project. He stressed at the same time the importance of joint work in the framework of a strong and strategic economic work plan among Syria, Iran, and Iraq. For his part, Syrian Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources , Sufian Allaw indicated that Iran can utilize the available natural resources in Syria particularly phosphate . He underlined the importance of the gas pipeline which extends from Iran to Syria through Iraq and its role in the achievement of economic development in cooperation with the private sector , whereby a qualitative jump can be attained in joint investment in various fields. For his part , Mehrabian , underlined the importance of Iranian President recent visit to Syria and his talks with President Bashar al-Assad on boosting bilateral cooperation , expressing his country's readiness to develop cooperation with Syria in various fields because Syria is considered as a fertile land for investment in many domains.
