Chairman of UAE's Chambers of Commerce and Industry Union Stresses Importance of Increasing Investments in Syria

ABU DHABI, SANA _Chairman of United Arab Emirate's Chambers of Commerce and Industry Union Salah Salem Bin Amir al-Shamsi has stressed the importance of enhancing joint efforts between Syria and UAE for increasing the volume of trade exchange between both countries through increasing investments, establishment of projects and benefiting from the available chances in Syria, particularly in construction, tourist, agricultural industry and infrastructure fields.

 During a meeting with Syrian Ambassador in UAE Rstum al-Zuabi on Wednesday, al-Shamsi added that the organizing of the Gulf Investment Forum in Syria next May will contribute in pushing the economic and investment cooperation between the two countries forward.

 He stressed that the Forum will ensure the choice for establishment of investment partnership among the companies and establishments of private sector in both countries, due to increased care by the UAE and Gulf companies and businessmen to invest in Syria.

 He pointed out that a delegation representing Abu Dhabi Chambers of Commerce and Industry will participate in the May Forum. For his part, the Syrian Ambassador said the new investment laws in Syria ensure big facilities to the Emirate's investors and eliminate obstacles that fqace investment in Syria.

He called on the Emirate's businessmen and companies to investment in Syria.
