Warsaw, (SANA) – Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Abdullah al-Dardari has discussed with Polish Premier Donald Tusk prospects of developing the political and economic relations between Syria and Poland and means of bolstering them.
During their meeting Wednesday, Dardari and Tusk stressed the importance of exchanging mutual visits in the interest of the tow countries.
Later, al-Dardari discussed, in a plenary meeting , with Polish Deputy Prime Minister Waldemar Pawlak developing economic cooperation between the two countries, where an agreement was reached on developing bilateral cooperation in various domains, particularly increasing exports of the Syrian crude phosphate to Poland, encouraging establishment of joint investments for manufacture fertilizers in Syria.
The agreement includes also developing cooperation in the gas and oil fields and linking the Syrian gas net with its European counterpart and Poland's support for the Syrian-European partnership agreement.
An agreement on technical cooperation on the usage of coal for electricity energy generation was reached, increasing the Syrian exports of fruits and vegetables to Poland, encouraging launching of polish investment in Syria in food industries field and encouraging the polish companies to invest in the infrastructures in Syria.
Al-Dardari arrived in Warsaw yesterday heading a delegation in a 2-day visit to Poland.
