Damascus, (SANA) – Minister of Local Administration Tamer Hija and the Resident Representative of the Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Tomita Akiko discussed the first-phase studies of urban planning and development projects in Damascus and its countryside.

Hija called upon research teams to evaluate the Japanese studies, the weakness points and how to overcome them to achieve the desired results.

A Japanese expert said that the Japanese side has set a work schedule for al-Ghouta and Qanawat regions including training workshops and initial plans to carry out effective projects.
