Damascus, SANA- "Syrian-Belarusian Business Council launched activities after electing the members of its bureau, including businessmen from different economic sectors and governorates." President of the council Riyad Hamad announced on Sunday.

Hamad said in a statement to SANA that the council will work on developing and enhancing the economic, commercial and investment relations between Syria and Belarus, activating the agreements and suggesting new legislative frameworks to organize these agreements through signing two agreements on free trade between both countries.

He added that the council's plan this year focuses on exporting textile products, food industries and all kinds of vegetables and fruits to the Belarusian, Russian and Kazakhstan markets.

Hamad also called on the Syrian businessmen to establish joint ventures between the two countries, particularly in the field of collecting buses and tracks in Syria and establishing a factory for packaging the Syrian olives in Belarus.
