GTZ to Support Economic Projects

Damascus, (SANA)-The German Agency for Technical Cooperation (GTZ) is ready to offer technical aid to the Ministry of Economy and Trade to support the process of economic and administrative reform going on in Syria, said GTZ Regional Director Majdi al-Minshawi.

Meeting with a GTZ delegation on Sunday, Minister of Economy and Trade Lamia al-Assi called for boosting cooperation with the Agency in the issues of consumer protection, small and medium enterprises, competitiveness and efficiency.

She also called for setting up organizational structures for small and medium enterprises to encourage projects by young entrepreneurs.

Al-Assi stressed the need for creating an appropriate business environment and providing training and qualification for young entrepreneurs to turn their ambitions into projects on the ground.
