CARACAS, (SANA) – Venezuela's President Hugo Chavez reiterated support to Syria against the conspiracy it faces due to its national stances in support of the resistance.

The Venezuelan President stressed his country's support to the reform process under the leadership of President Bashar al-Assad.

The Venezuelan Foreign Ministry, in a statement issued on Thursday, said that Venezuela's government and people stand by the Syrian people who are able to solve their problems on their own without any foreign interference, strongly condemning the US and Western policies which aim at creating chaos to Syria.

The statement added that the reform process led by President al-Assad is the way to come out of the crisis in Syria.
