Beirut, (SANA) – The National Assembly of Agricultural Establishments in Lebanon and the General Federation of Arab Farmers and Cooperatives organized a festival in Beirut to show support for Syria in the face of the conspiracies targeting it because of its national stances.
The event was attended by several Lebanese political, party, union and social figures, in addition to a delegation from the Syrian Farmers Union, representatives of Arab farmers and workers unions, and Syria's Ambassador in Lebanon Ali Abdulkarim.
Participants stressed that Syria is facing an Israeli-American conspiracy that target Syria's national standards, lauding Syria's role in defending the resistance in Lebanon and Palestine and its rejection of the war on Iraq.
They also lauded the reform steps undertaken by President Bashar al-Assad, saying that the Untied States has rallied the biased satellite channels in their recent campaign against Syria, adding that the Syrians' awareness will foil these campaigns.
The participants affirmed that what is currently happening in Syria is the latest chapter in the conspiracy against it, refusing that Lebanon becomes an arena for conspiring against Syria.
They concluded by affirming their confidence in Syria's victory under the leadership of President al-Assad, saying that it will emerge stronger and more determined and that the plot against it is doomed to fail.
