Amman, (SANA) _The Jordanian News Agency (Petra) on Wednesday broadcast a report on the Arab Drama, lauding the high level of the Syrian drama and its huge potentials in production, directing, scenario writing and acting.
The report said that Syrian drama is closer to the reality more than any other Arab TV drama scenes which are mostly shot at studios.
Jordanian TV series Director Mohammad Aziziya indicated that Syrian drama is mainly shot in real houses and rarely at studios, as it reflects the reality more closely and deals with the problems through dialogue without resorting to visual effects which reduce the impact of the dramatic work.
Aziziya added that Syrian drama reflects the Syrian reality, and most of the series express the concerns and issues of the neighboring countries' societies such as Jordan and Lebanon which share a similar environment with Syria.
He went on to say "In spite of the fact that the Syrian dialect is somehow difficult for the people of the Arab Maghreb countries, the Syrian drama has managed to reach these countries and gain wide popularity. Syrian Drama has also attracted the attention of the Egyptian people who became familiar with the Syrian dialect."
He pointed out to the huge budget allocated to dramatic production in Syria which ranges from SYP 2, 5 to 8 billions (1USD = about 47 SYP).
Editor-in-Chief of the Jordanian cultural magazine Taiki, Basma Nassour hailed the developed level of Syrian drama, saying that the Syrian series proved an unignorable presence."Syrian drama is at the pinnacle of its prosperity."
Nassour considered that the great success and spread of the Syrian drama indicate that those who created it worked in a collective way to make it a success to the extent that people in most of the Arab countries have now become familiar with the Syrian dialect.
