Beirut, (SANA) – Secretary General of Hezbollah Party in Lebanon Hasan Nasrallah called on Tuesday for preserving the "army, resistance and people" formula and bolstering its elements, particularly since this formula proved to be capable of deterring the Israeli enemy.
In a televised speech, Nasrallah stressed that protecting Lebanon and developing it is a collective responsibility that no-one can shirk, and that the Resistance wants Lebanon to be strong, sovereign, free, independent and capable of overcoming external and internal challenges.
He said that the Lebanese people's national responsibility is overcoming difficulties to protect Lebanon and not surrender to these difficulties, noting that the Resistance managed to overcome challenges and threats thanks to the moral, political and emotional support that it receives, adding that the Resistance will overcome all future threats and conspiracies no matter how grave.
Hezbollah Secretary General pointed out that Israel is the permanent external threat against Lebanon, underlining the need to confront Israel's attempts to take control of Lebanon and its resources.
Nasrallah pointed out to the rich experience of the Resistance in defending the sovereignty of Lebanon and restoring its occupied lands and prisoners, saying that the modest financial and human capabilities of Lebanon didn't deter the Resistance's success in confronting the Israeli entity, making the Israeli enemy think twice before attacking Lebanon.
Hezbollah Secretary General affirmed that all sides agree on the need to arm the Lebanese Army and bolster its capabilities, adding that Hezbollah will use its friendship with Iran for this purpose.
Nasrallah pointed out that Lebanon is waging a war of security every day against the Israeli enemy and must continue to uncover Israeli agents and spies. He called on the Lebanese judicial system to act quickly regarding the issue of Israeli agents, saying that executing them will deter the recruitment of new agents in Lebanon.
He stressed that Hezbollah is not infiltrated by spies, and that the Party has had a strong and huge body for 28 years that works day and night to stop the Israeli attempts to infiltrate the security of Hezbollah.
The Secretary General added that the evidence on the invulnerability of the Resistance is its victory during the Israeli aggression on Lebanon in July 2006, pointing out that Israel bombarded many locations during that aggression yet it failed to damage the infrastructure and resources of the Resistance because Israel had no information about them.
He also stressed that all the Lebanese people deserve to know who fabricated the false witnesses and misdirected the investigation into the assassination of former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik al-Hariri for four years.
Nasrallah noted that during his previous press conference, he presented evidence and information which opened up new possibilities in the investigation, adding that this information was provided to the Lebanese judicial system and the Lebanese authorities.
