Islamabad, Pakistan, (SANA)-Syrian humanitarian aid plane, sent upon the directives of President Bashar al-Assad to the Pakistani people, arrived in Islamabad on Monday carrying necessary relief materials to the victims of the floods that hit the country.
The 35 tons of blankets, medical and nutritional materials have been delivered to the Pakistani Red Crescent Organization who appreciated and thanked the Syrian stances.
"This assistance will help support and consolidate cooperation and amity between Syria and Pakistan… we thank Syria, as leadership and people, for the humanitarian aid," Director of the Pakistani Red Crescent Organization Shehrazad Kaissar told Syrian TV in an interview.
Member of Syrian Red Crescent Organization in Tartous said "we have delivered this humanitarian aid as a gift from the Syrian people to the afflicted people in Pakistan to help them overcome the ordeal and suffering from the floods."
