Mar 09, 2010

Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, SANA- Secretary General of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu condemned on Tuesday the Israeli authorities' approval on building 112 new settlement units in the West Bank.

"This decision proves again the Israeli authorities' real intentions and shows their determination to go on with settlement policy, annex Palestinians' lands and violate international law." Ihsanoglu said in a statement.

He also called on the international community and the Quartet Committee, which will meet after few days in Moscow, to press Israel and compel it to stop its violations of the international law, building and expanding the settlements.
