Cairo, (SANA)-The 16th Conference of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union has reiterated support for Syria's right to restore the occupied Golan to the June 4, 1967 line.
Participants at the Conference, which concluded activities in Cairo on Thursday, condemned the Israeli threats against Syria and Lebanon as a provocation intended to trigger tension in the region.
The Union approved a report on having its permanent headquarters based in Damascus.
The final statement issued by the Conference stressed the importance of Arab solidarity under the current developments in the international arena.
Arab parliamentarians voiced support for Palestinian people's right to liberate their occupied land in every possible way including resistance.
They also called on the UN Security Council and the Quartet Committee to compel Israel to release all Palestinian and Arab captives held in the Israeli jails.
