Cypriot President says his country keen to develop ties with Syria

Nicosia, (SANA)-President Dimitris Christofias of Cyprus on Wednesday underlined his country's commitment to develop and deepen ties with Syria in all fields, referring to the distinguished historic relations connecting the two neighboring countries.
President Christofias reviewed during a meeting with the Syrian Justice Minister Mohammad al-Ghufari cooperation between Syria and Cyprus in the field of justice and means of enhancing it in the interest of both people.
Al-Ghufari, for his part, hailed successful talks held with the Cypriot Justice Minister in the field of law and judiciary, referring to an agreement signed between the two countries in 1958, showing desire to activate it to include combating crimes.
